Aged care survey shows nurses aren’t nursing
Results of a Aged-Care Workforce Survey has revealed workers want more time to care for nursing home residents with the majority of registered nurses spending less than one third of their time caring for residents, as more and more are taken off the floor to work in managerial positions.
This results of the survey are of concern given that a growing number of residents are entering Aged-Care facilities with more complex care needs than ever before.
